Boston Job Trek w/ Yale Fresh and Salty, Yale Business & Environment Club

We are excited to announce that on Friday, April 6, the MIT Water Club will team up with  Yale Fresh and Salty SIG and Business and Environment Club/SIG for our first annual Boston job trek.  We have arranged to meet with a range of consulting firms and federal agencies focusing on environmental issues. To reserve a spot on this trip, please RSVP through this Google Form by Wednesday, April 4 at 11:59pm. 

Tentative schedule

9:00-10:15am -- Industrial Economics Inc. - 

Speakers will give brief presentations on Industrial Economics' consulting projects in natural resource management, policy analysis, applied economics, and finance and forensic analysis.  

11:00-12:15pm -- City of Cambridge Water Department

Speakers will discuss CWD’s watershed protection and source water quality monitoring programs. There will be tour of the treatment plant where the operators will explain the treatment/distribution process, and testing and analysis. 

2:00-3:15pm -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The speakers will talk about the conservation programs for all endangered and protected marine species on the East Coast under both the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammal Protection Act.   

5:00-7:00pm -- Networking at Meadhall

Mingle with professionals from all three agencies we visit as well as other alumni from Yale and MIT.
